Opinions on a HGCE News video or podcast

Recommended Posts

What if HGCE uploaded a weekly news video breaking down the week and maybe it even be an actual news team with people who are comfortable being seen and reporting. Another segment to this could be a podcast with a host inviting various HG members or outside figures  and have like an interview or kinda chill QandA session? This is just an idea and I would appreciate opinions on this<3

This is not a bad idea @GlimTV, but the problem I see with this right now is where HeLLsGamers currently stands with publicity.

As of now, HG itself as a community isn't so high on the charts when it comes to how many people know us and how positive our reputation is to people that do know us. Having a weekly podcast with staff of HG running down what went on every week would be catastrophic because there isn't much exciting happening in HG that's worth making the podcast for, nor do we have a strong audience to broadcast it to. Doing this would essentially be a waste of time until we garner a larger audience that enjoys supporting us and being part of our community, as well as gaining more activity happening both inside and outside the HG website.

For the host and Q&A session, the same thing I said above applies. HG just doesn't have a large enough reputation and audience to pull something like this off with minimal success. What makes Q&A interviews successful is having a large audience, be it from outside or within our community, or a mix of both, that wants to hear the experiences of those part of our community, and that increases the likelihood for more people to join us. Unfortunately, that may not happen for a while until our publicity improves.
