I guess this only means trade offers outside of game so far. It might be interesting to note the wording on the options page: Disabled - You will not be required to confirm trades and will not receive email about trades. Steam Support will also not provide you with any assistance in recovering items that may be stolen from your account, for any reason. So if someone hacks your account and the loss of items wasn't actually due to a trade anyway I guess this means you're screwed without this option left on? I'll leave mine enabled for now unless it starts to really annoy me.
