I wrote this poem back on June 20th of 2008 after having a really bad day and I was feeling the creative juices that I always had flowing when writing my song lyrics from the bands I've been in. After a while I had started thinking that it would make a great tattoo and I had it inked on my right forearm. It's a constant reminder of the fact that life gets tough sometimes, but it is these times that teach us the most about ourselves and help us to deal with these times down the road.

Live for the moment and live day by day

But never forget who you are

And never forget your past mistakes

For remember, it is how you live that defines who you are

And it is the mistakes that teach us how to enjoy every moment we have

No regrets, no remorse

Live free or die trying

I never knew when I wrote it how much it would help me through the hard days and I'm glad that I had it inked.
