I'm 28 now going on 29. I've been in this clan through 3+ sites and 2 marriages. I'm starting to ask myself - where did my clan go?

Unfortunately due to the site revisions I can't tell you how long I've been here. For immigration purposes my wife and I were recently able to determine that we met in 24/7 dust 2 somewhere in 2006. We spent most of our free time on HG for a good 2 years maybe more and at that time it seemed like dust 2/HG was always populated with a great bunch of interesting if silly people, but...to be honest most of those people are gone or too busy? I have a foggy memory of scrimming with Homer, Goodkat, malkavian, DJ, ToiletDuck and others like a billion years ago. Anybody remember Stanton and his crew? Samson where are you?

Lately as I skim through the new people coming in most of them are 16 and under and while I dont begrudge them for their age it seems like this is just another myspacefacesterbook/b/chan whatever to hangout at. Meaningful attachments and Teamplay are secondary if relevant at all to them.

Am I still a gamer? Maybe I'm confused. I'm still putting in 30 hours a week despite working 50 hours a week. I ran a L4d2 campaign with a buddy the other night. Emma and I are idling Deathmatch lately. She runs around on HG TF2 servers quite a bit. Is the naked xbox guy the new gamer? Does remembering when everyone was hunchback and playing de_dust 1 make me too old to be playing games?

I don't mind being labeled in the oldF*** group with Faded and the like, but I'm feeling pretty alone in that category and getting on tinychat to spam gayfags and moon people just isn't my brand of comedy.

I'm gonna try and do my part more. I'm gonna be on TS more, but I'm getting hungry. I'm getting out of practice and I want a scrim or even better a match!
