->SK<-
The 270X is a well deserved upgrade for this build (note those aging 4870's though ) It should fit within your current system given that your PSU is capable of 500+ watts. The extra wattage will allow you to do stuff like OCing and all that nice stuff that will let you push the card to the max. However I would consider swapping out the motherboard as well with a 990X series of Motherboards and at the same time the RAM too. The motherboard will bottleneck the Gen 3 capable 270X because the x16 slot on it now isn't able to deliver the bandwidth that the 270X is capable of and really needs. I would suggest this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130677 it is a great mid to high range motherboard and is backward compatible with your current CPU. For RAM, I would suggest this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144&cm_re=RAM-_-20-233-144-_-Product which are ones I use. They do the job very well and the increased speed will give you that new PC feel again. Hope this helps.
