The fact that it would add a longer download time is a problem. The fact that they would cause fps issues for those with lower end pcs is a problem. The fact that it would make our server less vanilla is a problem. Matt Marche Posted October 14, 2014 Share Posted October 14, 2014 The primary draw, in my opinion, to HGZS is the accessibility and player count. They are closely tied. If you add in m9k weapons that drastically increases what you need to download to get on the server and sets it apart from vanilla ZS, which lowers the accessibility. HG's pointsaving + mostly vanilla state allow people to get into it with virtually any skill level and the farther it is deviated from the more risk taken in regards to player count. I don't think it's a good move. Besides that, balancing these weapons NEEDS to be in the hands of people with thousands of hours, and even then it's a thin line of success. Jetboom didn't even get everything right with vanilla (case in point, every weapon from 70-150 points) so it would be much harder to balance these weapons. Instead of M9K, the remaining CS:S weapons could be added more easily and they would fit in with the current theme of weaponry. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
