Butler has spent his entire eight-year Major League Baseball career with the Royals, who dropped the World Series to San Francisco four games to three after a 3-2 home loss Wednesday. Butler, 28, helped the Royals claim their first playoff berth in 29 years and went 11-for-42 with the bat in this year's playoffs.
