Trade Script Regulations

1) So we have some people using automated trading scripts pumping out who knows how many lines of trade offers per day. What do you think the limit should be between chat annoucements on the server?

10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 seconds?

2) Do people want to continue to allow automated trade bots on the server or....? I know of one where you basically have to guess what they are selling which is not that helpful...

What do you do if a player connects and plays the game (sort of), but keeps asking for trade (about 2 sentences worth) all the time. You remind them that they are not on a Trade Server and that they'd be better off on one, and they just carry on. I've just left them to it, but one of them was on for well over an hour last night. Are a number of warnings and then a kick way too much? Perhaps I should send them to spec?

Do you mean on the mic? If so, standard mic spam rules apply. Warn / kick / ban. As for text chat... I tend to ignore them unless they repeatedly fill the chat area with just their text. You can opt to just use gag (for text) or mute (for mic) instead of kick.

There isn't any rule against players trying to trade on normal servers but it wouldn't hurt to point out that we have multiple trade servers available.

You should only move a player to spectator if they're idling. Unless of course the server is full, in which case kick with a polite message.
