Champ Kind Posted November 8, 2014 Share Posted November 8, 2014 The Westchester Knicks of the NBA's second-tier Development League will sport a sponsor's logo on their jerseys this season, the team said Friday, in a revolutionary move for US pro sports. The four major professional sports leagues in North America -- the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball -- have so far avoided putting advertising on uniforms, with only the symbols of clothing manufacturers displayed along with team logos. In March, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said advertising on uniforms -- common in European football -- was "inevitable" and would "most likely" happen within the next five years.
