Champ Kind Posted December 3, 2014 Share Posted December 3, 2014 Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson spoke Tuesday at the start of his National Football League suspension appeal hearing, which lasted more than three hours before adjourning until Thursday. Peterson spoke for about 10 minutes but the 29-year-old rusher did not testify as a witness before arbitrator Harold Henderson, according to the league's website. Peterson was suspended on November 18 for at least the remainder of the NFL season after pleading no contest to a reduced charge to avoid jail time in the severe spanking of his four-year-old son. Peterson said that he spoke with Troy Vincent, the NFL executive vice president of football operations, and was told that he would receive a ban only for the games he had already missed if he met with NFL officials.
