Sony confirmed the outage and said it was investigating the cause. The company has not received any report that information has been leaked or stolen, the FT said. Sony said users faced difficulty accessing the PlayStation network between 8:52 a.m. and 11:18 a.m. Tokyo time on Monday (6:52 p.m.-9:18 p.m. ET on Sunday) and the issue had been resolved.
