TheAtrocity
If you can give me some specs that you're looking for (wireless, over-ear, etc) I can try and find some decent ones. I've been looking for a headphone for a few months before realizing my budget was best fit for a mid range headphone but I've heard some good reviews and done some research on a few. Hopefully i can be of some help!

Wireless headphones will always be inferior to wired ones because they will do some degree of compression...but I personally would stand that as opposed to wires >Bose is infamous for really bad lower-tier headphones. Only their high-end ones stand up to the hype. The quiet comfort 25's I heard were pretty good. >Sennheiser is a pretty good brand name; I got gifted some on-ear momentum's and they sound pretty good. I've heard some great things from a friend about the sennheiser HD 598's. Not wireless but they are detachable and over-ear. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-598-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0042A8CW2 Won't hurt looking at sennheiser momentum's too (original ones, not on-ear) You definitely won't go wrong with the Bose Quiet Comfort 25 though

I currently use Jaybird Blue Buds X, but i'm drifting out of in ear headphones. I'll hopefully find somewhere that I can give the Sennheisers a listen. I just went to the Guitar Center, and they were out of stock of the Sennheiser HD 600s you linked me to previously. I'll probably go with the Bose. Thanks for the advice -Paul

TheAtrocity
Sennheisers are generally good; I'm sure you can find a high-end models you'll like. Just remember to grab just specifically headphones, especially since you're an audiophile. Companies like to charge major extra to add mics. Good Luck! :')
