Alright so I'm about to order the new GPU for my rig. I was originally going to order this one without thought.

But then I found this one.

I know Sapphire is an awesome brand and I have never once had an issue with any of their cards. The question is with only a 10$ price difference in the end is it worth getting the 290 over the 280X? I do plan to eventually run more than one monitor but probably only two at more. should I go for the 290 to "futureproof"?

I'm so torn lol.

From what i know the Tri-x is the better cooler for Sapphire cards so if anything I'd say choose between

Either card is good but id go with the 290

290 it is! I really liked the look of the blue Sapphire card but in the end I would rather pay the extra 10$ for a much more powerful card that will last that much longer. Also going to be ordering with Next day shipping as my current card is going to a friend who did not get anything for Christmas.

So an update on this. According to Newegg there was an error with the verification process even though everything was correct and they cancelled the order.
