I Love Lamp
Does it only take long on startup, or is it starting up and shutting down?
Red and Dead
Only on startup

Kinta
Working properly for now. Maybe you should open up the case and clean the dust out of it. Could be a short.
Wingless
Clean up your startup tasks through MSConfig. Too much garbage + bad registry + bad NTFS fragmentation = slow.
I Love Lamp
If that is the error you are getting, try updating your display drivers. If it randomly goes away, that means it can randomly come back.

Slazenger
Unplug your graphics card while the computer is off. Then replug it in. Boot up your machine. If it isn't fixed, make sure your graphics drivers are updated and that your bios is updated to the newest version as well. If that still doesn't work, see if you can get a friend's graphics card. If that fixes the issue it is a problem with your graphics card. If it doesn't, it is either the PCI port on your motherboard or it is the monitor. Hope that helps!
