Changing Crosshairs

How do you change cross hairs? Not the ones that come with the game, but using those sites that you can create a cross hair, I know how to create it, but how do I apply it in game? Do I use the console?

sorry if this link doesn't work im on my phone, but you can go here and make any type of crosshair you want and put the command in your console.

Wheres the config file? and all I do is open the file and add the config text into the file?

Yes, just copy it straight into the console

Really either way is doing the same exact thing. It'll probably be easier for the console method It'll still update in the cfg anyway.
