Champ Kind Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Troy Merritt fired a record-equalling 10-under-par 61 Friday as he goes after a first US PGA Tour title, out-shining the 62 of Masters champion Jordan Spieth to seize the RBC Heritage lead. Merritt's 12-under-par total of 130 put him four strokes ahead of defending champion Matt Kuchar, who posted a 66, and John Merrick, who signed for a 65. Spieth helped get Friday's birdie bonanza going at Harbour Town, South Carolina with nine birdies in his nine-under effort.
