jimmen17 Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 So, the problem is not really with the jetpack, but people and the way they are using it on minecraft servers. One Soldier with rocket launcher can make a mess, but two and more spawncamping Soldiers, Pyros or Heavys make the server practically unplayable. I've attatched two demos to show how the gameplay looks like with a player using the jetpack and weapons. In my opinion jetpack should be used as a tool to reach some places only in the nether and, if possible, with disabled weapons during the flight. The other option could be to completely disable the jetpack for all classes besides Engineer, since people use it only to camp points and frags. Supa Dupa kjpski Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015 I kind of have to agree that they are OP, but the reason that they are OP are because everyone can use it so now no one is walking or using grap hooks, but I also agree with that it is not a server for killing people it is meant for trading, so maybe if we made the jetpack something to buy in the store or maybe VIP+ so that not EVERYONE is just flying all over the place.
