Matt B Posted May 24, 2015 Share Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) we really need to bring back wave 2 boom sticks. triple/dual nightmares will get through pretty much ANY cade on wave 2 and humans have no defense against it. to keep the wave 2 spawn camping down, just make them only available after the wave 1 midround so less are inclined to buy them for the cheaper price. so if you want a wave 2 high tier weapon, you have to pay full price for it. getting really tired of making some REALLY nice cades that just get obliterated by nightmares with no weapons to keep them back. built a cade on abondoned mall at la cloth with MULTIPLE buffer props, vending machines, a couple benches, and they got through in no time because no one had any decent weapons to kill them with. TheAtrocity Posted May 24, 2015 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Problem is that once population dies down, there's a huge problem of 1-2 people buying high tier weapons and absolutely demolishing the boss(s) behind a barely passable block-cade of props. The zombie population dies to 0-2 every time. There's absolutely no way for zombies to win. Admins are often asleep or doing something else during this time, so we cannot keep in check the spawn camping and rampant rule breaking, amongst other pressing issues. In high populations, logic would dictate that most players would go to a better looking cade, an often caded area, or a cade done by a well-known cader. The players simply need to learn (at the more experienced players' expense) and understand where to go. High number of defenders will be sufficient to kill multiple nightmares. Unfortunately, this makes solocading obsolete since the more experienced players playing as zombie will have a higher probability of getting boss and realize where/who they should strike first. Of course, we also have long time players who can easily gain the points they lost after funding for 40 boomsticks and care nothing for points......full price or not for a boomstick. The best balance is to stick with restricting higher tier weaponry to wave 2 intermission so as to allow wave 2 bosses to deal the damage they need to help the zombie team's morale and momentum. There's also a choice of people buying mid-tier weaponry, since ZS is not all about buying the best gun to get the highest killing power and possibly maximizing profit.... We realize there are many fixes that must be done in ZS, and we will take your concern(s) into account in continuing to improve our ZS servers. Thanks.
