blue :D
Any reason you want Ubuntu? To host servers? Write projects? The best way is to create a virtual disk and back up your PC with its essentials on an external hard drive, and then boot it up with an autorun virtual disk if possible, if not, an autorun cd/USB

Slap
For gaming your better off getting windows 10 tech build Linux can get confusing fast but here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIF8e_5F9B4 Edited June 9, 2015 by Slap
Slap
Windows 10 is a mix between windows 8.1 and 7. So there's not that much to learn. I recommend using windows 10 and learn how to use Linux on virtual box. Then when windows 10 comes out you could buy it or switch to Linux. ->SK<-
Although Linux is taking off as an OS ideology, it's no where near the established Windows. Linux still natively game out of the box as there's no variant of Direct X for Linux to begin with, so games have to support Linux to allow gamers to play the game. While yes Linux might have better performance due to less overall overhead due to Linux's lightweight-ness, it's lightweight for a reason. It's original intention was to be a lightweight SERVER OS and not a client OS. However now aday's Client OS and Server OS versions are built. The Ubuntu install once downloaded and burned to DVD or put onto a USB is really self explainatory. It really tells you exactly what it is doing or wants to to.
