Shaman
Alright so I've been seeing that a few people use Shadowplay for recording. How do you get it setup? I've looked online and tried various things but I can't seem to get it working properly. I am running a GTX 970 so it should be able to handle it on a 1080p screen. I've been wanting to record so I can get help with figuring out how to go about getting better. I'm currently working on using one weapon for entire rounds to get to know the guns but still. Another things is there was a moment yesterday playing when I was able to get 2 kills with a CZ75 and then kinfed someone within the group. Stuff like this is what is making me want to record. If you have GeForce Exerience, open it up and go the the Preferences tab and click on the Shadowplay. You can tweak your settings there. http://i.imgur.com/nqVehlR.png Then just click the button on the top right. http://i.imgur.com/dtsp3n0.png Though honestly i like Open Broadcaster Software a lot better. It's been a while since i used shadow play, but it was glitchy af back then. Quote Link to comment

I Have had issues in the past where I've hit the manual recording video to try and get a full match but it never saved. I'll give it another shot today while I am playing and see what happens. If it doesn't work then i'll check out the Open Broadcast. I don't stream as my upload spd is less than 1Mbs and yeah....... Quote Link to comment

ongames
I just use the shadowplay option for shadowplay saving the last 10 mins of gameplay with ALT+ F 10, but with manual record I think you need to also manually stop the recording for it to save, but not sure. Make sure you're looking in the right place for your saved videos. Also, there's not much point in using shadowplay for manual recording when OBS is a lot more customizable, but if you shadowplay it (my ALT F10 thing), I think it's great. Quote Link to comment

At the moment I've got it working and saving perfectly as of now. I've not noticed any sort of performance decrease while playing on a casual server either. now to figure a decent editing software. I will be posting videos to get feedback from what I can do to improve. Note: I've got ShadowPlay set to High Quality and 60FPS like i said without FPS drops or anything. Quote Link to comment
Shaman
Shadowplay is fucked, great quality but even with manual recording it is refusing to record more than the last 15 minutes. Quote Link to comment
