It was the Mets' fourth consecutive victory and helped them increase their lead in the National League East to 5-1/2 games over the idle Washington Nationals. Sean Gilmartin (3-1) earned the victory by pitching 3-1/3 scoreless innings in relief of an ineffective Jacob deGrom.
