ignorant americano Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 So I've recently been dealing with constant crashes in Zombie Survival. I've cleaned addons, verified game cache, deleted garrys mod cache, lowered graphics settings to AS LOW AS THEY FUCKING GET. You can actually see individual pixels in textures from a distance, it's fucking awful. And yet I still crash every single fucking day. I get on, enjoy a few waves, and then, without warning, freeze, two seconds pass, Garrys Mod crashes to desktop without a warning or error message. This is especially annoying when I rejoin to the lovely notion that I can't be redeemed because the crash was 'my fault' or I can't prove I actually crashed. Of course, it's my fault that my game crashes out of fucking NOWHERE on low AND high stress. So I need some help, I've come to the end of my ideas and I need suggestions for fixing this. I'm so fucking tired of spending points that I save up over the course of a few days to just crash and lose all my shit I bought then be told I can't redeem and have to spend the rest of the round as a zombie. I've tried the following: Uninstalled all unneccessary addons (tons of addons removed, I only have like 10 left) Verified game cache Deleted gmod cache from directory Lowered graphics settings as low as they can get, hurting my eyes with the sharp edges of textures Removed myself from situations involving massive explosive textures like final wave zombine rushes or jihad rushes Avoided large combat situations and kept to building, repairing, or healing I just need some advice to fixing this. I'm at the edge here and if I keep crashing and losing my shit I'm probably just going to play another gamemode since this has never happened so often on any other server. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Gaming Limit Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 There are different console commands that you can find on YouTube that you can use. If you press ~ the button under esc that will open up console and type whatever you need in there. Or if you go on your steam games right click on Garry's mod go to properties and open up developer console and add in whatever you need you will find it there. Matt B Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 Our newest updates are still kinda in beta so please bear with us while we make fixes. Couple things I would try: Update graphics drivers to latest version. Check port forwarding for Garry's mod and do that. Subscribe to the hg server content on steam. As of right now besides the every once and a while crash we get, the zombine crash is the only specific crash that I am aware of. This should be fixed by tomorrow once the latest update is pushed.
