cs:go Shooting In Stacks

So there's another rule discrepancy that should probably get rooted out.

Here is the rule according to the bible:

  • Do not shoot in stack, even if you have best aim ever still never shoot in stack. Even if you get a legit kill by shooting in stack you may get slayed/tlisted for shooting in stack. Lead can ask them to unstack to kill rebooblers.

Now, it's my understanding that if you have a clear shot on a rebel in a stack, you may take it at your own risk.

There seems to be quite a few people that believe this is not allowed. With the wording of the rule, it could technically be argued either way.

Here is the problem with disallowing all shooting at T's who are stacked:

Let's assume T's are unstacked, and one has a gun. He turns around, sprays at CT's and then runs and stacks on one of his teammates.

According to this interpretation of the rule, you would not be able to shoot at the two T's and you would need to order them to unstack.

Then you would need to wait until they are fully unstacked before attempting to shoot the rebel, who by now has probably stacked on someone else.

Rounds get delayed hard enough as it is with people trying to shoot a rebel stacking on others, but disallowing all shooting of stacked T's would drag this out even more.

Not to mention, why shouldn't you allow people to shoot in stacks with clear shots? I get that people fuck it up from time to time, but that's no reason to completely ban it.

If someone has bad aim and keeps trying to shoot in stacks and ends up continually killing/hurting the wrong people, they'll learn pretty quick or get tlisted.

Finally, this rule is ever so rarely enforced except for in the cases of someone fucking up their shot and hitting multiple people.

Why? Because most people realize through common sense that if a T is trying to stack to avoid getting shot, and you end up with a clear shot, succeeding in taking him out without hurting anyone else is fine.

At the risk of getting tlisted yes.

The reason this is a rule is because too many people try to kill rebels and end up shooting someone who isn't supposed to be shot. The reason its usually only enforced on people who fuck up is because its pretty difficult to prove, but if you are caught you will be tlisted. Its not a hard rule to follow nor does it take long to make Ts unstack and get a clear shot on the T rebelling.

Do you see the inherent problem in the scenario I posted though? You're giving extreme power to T's who can stack and have total immunity from being shot whether they stacked well enough or not. And getting them to unstack takes time, and then you have maybe a tenth of a second before he stacks on another T standing right next to him.

I probably don't have to tell you how many times people run through the line of T's and find one to stack on, only to be shot by a CT because they didn't stack well enough. Nobody gets slayed for it, it just makes sense to everyone.

I already t-listed someone recently for shooting in stack. Simply don't do it.

This seems like you are arguing that getting LR is more important than having people play our servers without getting freekilled...

Not at all, I'm trying to prevent T's from destroying the whole CT team because of a loophole.

Can you imagine how easy it would be to get any kind of gun as a T, and just run along the line of T's who are unstacked, stack on a T, take some shots,

and every time the lead says to unstack just move 1 foot to the left and stack on another one?

I have never in my JB life seen a T ruin a day completely down to Last Guard with this. Just dont shoot stacks. This rule has been in place for almost a year and it fixes more issues than it causes.
