Champ Kind Posted October 27, 2015 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Houston Texans backup quarterback Ryan Mallett was fired on Tuesday, days after missing a charter flight for the team's disastrous defeat to the Miami Dolphins, US reports said. Mallett, 27, had faced an uncertain future after his failure to board the Texans' private flight to Miami, where they were soundly beaten 44-26 after trailing 41-0 at half-time. Mallett, who had also missed a team meeting early Saturday, eventually travelled to the game separately on a commercial flight and did not play, ESPN reported on its website.
