Ok so I have an abismally lowend laptop/notebook it does play the game well until I get to a crowded area & or with lots of explosions, etc so I tinckered with the servers customised settings but now when I log into the server it crashes right back to my desktop anywhere from 1 to 60 seconds into the game (after server finishes loading of course)...is there ANYWAQY what so ever of resetting them back to their default settings bearing in mind that I have bairly enough time to do so while logged into the server & playing before the game crashes back to desktop...any suggestions?

Modded BIOS to increase Video from 64 to 128...

& as for the settings there were so many I cannot remember which ones but what I can say is that I had tweaked (towards preformance) every one of the servers custom setting (the life ones not gore) that's discriptions said would increase & or could potentially increase preformance.

Enable console and check cl_threaded_bone_setup and cl_threaded_client_leaf_system. Also, mat_queue_mode should be set to -1, but it will most likely default 0 or 1, but just set to -1 to "auto-choose" for you. The LIFE option menu allows you to manage cl_threaded_client_leaf_system, so make sure not to check that because it is unstable. As for resetting it, you should go to your Garry's Mod folder, and in there, go to garrysmod folder ( GarrysMod/garrysmod/data/lifemod). Make a copy of this folder, and then delete the original files. Try logging in again and the default files should repopulate.

Modded BIOS to increase Video from 64 to 128...

um please explain this? if thats the video memory, you don't just increase that by a bios mod..

do you have component specs on the computer? cpu? gpu (if it has a discrete one) etc

i'm willing to put 99.999% of the fact that you are crashing due to a bios mod.
