Champ Kind Posted December 4, 2015 Share Posted December 4, 2015 (Reuters) - The Boston Red Sox officially confirmed on Friday that they have agreed to a seven-year contract with left-handed pitcher David Price, one of the top starting pitchers available in the free agent market. Red Sox president of baseball operations David Dombrowski said in a statement that Price's contract has been inked in through the 2022 season, with an opt-out clause after the 2018 season. Price, a five-time All-Star, went 18-5 with a 2.45 earned run average in 32 starts for the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays last season.
