Champ Kind Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 Hit by several officiating errors this season, the National Football League said Wednesday it will alter its review procedures for the upcoming playoffs to allow greater communication during replay consultations. Referees would have greater input from NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino in New York under the change, which was approved by commissioner Roger Goodell and sent to every league club Wednesday. Referees can consult with Blandino or a designee at league headquarters to assess penalty yardage, administration of the game clock, the correct down or any other administrative matter not currently reviewable.
