fdh
Thanks to Cerpin Taxt's guidance, I'm gonna tackle this starting Fri afternoon/evening. Pot smoker! I'll brine the butt Fri and get up ~4-4:30 on sat and put the rub on. Then I'll smoke it all day long Should finish up around half time of the NC State vs. Boston College game. also check out this link if you are interested in building one (mine isn't going to be exactly like this one): http://www.naffziger.net/blog/2008/07/05/the-alton-brown-flower-pot-smoker/ Only thing I'm worried about is the fact that the bottom half of the modified hot plate casing will be sitting on bricks under the pot. Since I don't have a lot of concrete to work w/ outside, I might be setting up shop in the grass. I don't wanna burn any townhouses down Any suggestions on this aspect? Just dig out the sod and let the pot sit a little in the dirt. You should be able to replace the sod no problem afterwards.
