Champ Kind Posted February 26, 2016 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Cleveland Indians outfielder Abraham Almonte was suspended Friday by Major League Baseball for 80 games after testing positive for the banned performance-enhancing substance Boldenone. The 26-year-old Dominican, batting .244 with 10 home runs and 48 runs batted in over three major league seasons, will miss one game less than half the season and be out of the Indians' lineup until July. Almonte batted .250 with five homers over 82 games last season for the Indians and San Diego Padres last season.
