News Reporter In Perp

I forgot to mention this within the Chruch meeting that happened this Friday, I was wanting to know if we can add in a News Reporter Job in our perp server. The idea for this is very simple, someone will apply to become a news reporter and be given a TV, camera, and News Van. From there on the News Reporter job is to keep the citizens updated on what's happening around the city and partake in whatever the Officers are doing.

Examples:

* Flim in on raids

* Follows up on the mayor

* Film on high-speed chases between warranted players

Basically, anything related to what government employees do and this all goes on the TV that is given to them while taking the job. They're allowed to post the TV anywhere in the city. (Ex: In Nexus etc) just for anyone to watch instead standing around doing nothing.

This job brings some entertainment back to the server, and I thought sharing this idea can hopefully bring in new players.

Ideas on the Van:

This idea sounds awesome.

I'm very nosy; I like to watch the PERP drama play out and watch people get arrested for dumb reasons. I would enjoy being a news reporter and I'd enjoy watching the news channel as well. It's something to do while in-game. I honestly tabbed out majority of the time while I'm in-game. Growing doesn't tend to be very action-packed, so it would be nice to watch the news from the comfort of my base.

The news van should be fast enough to keep up with high-speed chases.The news reporter could have access to 911 calls (and maybe even the police radio), so they could be on the scene at all times. Players should have the right to threaten the reporter, if they are being filmed during a raid. As well as, police may have the right to ask the reporter to leave a crime scene, if necessary (Example: Inside someone else's property. They should have the right to film in public areas without consequences). Then, the reporter should have a toggle button for talking on-air or not, to avoid anything unnecessary being aired on television.

This could be a possible job for gold members to entice others to buy gold. I'm partly worried about the possible abuse of it, but it would be fun to have around.
