I would like to suggest some things for the prestige system. Prestige 1 - 100k points +30% HP boost +30% Speed boost Weapons available in the arsenal crate that are only for prestige 1+ Prestige 1 tag Zombies do 5% more damage to you Prestige 2 - 200k points +50% HP boost +50% Speed boost Weapons available in the arsenal crate that are only for prestige 2+ Prestige 2 tag Zombies do 10% more damage to you Prestige 3 - 500k points +75% HP boost +75% Speed boost Weapons available in the arsenal crate that are only for prestige 3+ Prestige 3+ Player models 30% Off all arsenal purchases 9% Of all points spent through others purchasing off your arsenal crate go to you Prestige 3 tag Railgun unlockable on wave 6 Zombies do 15% more damage to you You are outlined with a ORANGE to show that you are prestige 3 Zombies get awarded 100 points for killing you. Prestige 4 - 1 Million points 90% HP boost 100% Speed boost Weapons available in arsenal crate that are only for prestige 4+ Prestige 4+ Player models 30% Off all arsenal purchases 9% Of all points spent through others purchasing off your arsenal crate go to you Prestige 4 tag Available commands (Slay, Kick) 'Millionaire' tag (flashing text of desired color) Zombies give 5% more points upon kill. I don't think many players will ever spend that many points on this stuff, Here are my problems with it: 1. Makes humans too OP Humans already have OP guns. And trying to outrun a Prestige 5/4 player is almost impossible. 2. Drawbacks don't make sense Increased damage taken and points given on death? Why would any experienced player want to paint a target on himself AT ALL TIMES? I understand there are some old bold players that like to troll outside the cade, but there are very few. 3. Balance? This doesn't really fit into the balance of the game, especially since Humans spend a majority of their time behind a barricade and pointwhore, and this only makes surviving as a human less punishing. 4. Disabled in Some Maps If the prestige system is disabled in some maps, this will likely cause Prestige players not to play on Obj maps. 5. Number Balancing A lot of players will say the prices to pay for these perks are much too high. 6. Pointwhores/Discourage Actual Gunplay + Parties This will encourage pointwhoring even further, it will increase the amount of arsenals and resupplies, or Hammer/Medkit loadouts and discourages actual gunplay because people will be too busy saving points for Prestige. There will also be a lot less parties, because everyone is so point-conscientious. My Suggestions: 1. Make it an Unlock tree Based on what level you are, you unlock more weapons/items. OR 2. Make it Cosmetic Give players cool looking models or icons. 3. Make it only affect Zombies Zombies could use the boost especially since humans have OP weapons and such. And it will make it more bearable when you have to play Zombie. Personal Thoughts I've always felt like "Prestige" systems should offer cosmetic effects, and not gameplay changing effects. That being said, HG might as well offer a pointshop for buying cosmetics with points if it's purely cosmetic. It's not being added this update so I can have time to thoroughly balance the system to be rewarding to long term players but be balanced in the current meta. As of right now for each level of prestiege it gives the user 4% extra health, 2+ extra speed, and 2% extra fire speed, a good starting point but we will keep everything in mind. Also prestige levels start at 100k and increase 100k per level. Overall you're spending 1.5m to get to level 5 where you get 20% extra health, 10+ extra speed, and 10% extra fire speed. Again I will be thoroughly tweaking it before it is pushed to live, so hold onto your hats. And no P2W is never coming to ZS. If it does I leave. Simple as.
