The winner of that game then faces the onerous task of likely facing heavy tournament favourites Team USA in the semifinals as the picture clarified on the final day of Rio Games group play. After reaching the gold-medal match against the USA's NBA stars the past two Olympics, Spain came into Monday's crunch Group B contest facing an unexpected early exit after an 0-2 start.
