Some Suggestions

OI m8 Dylan told me you guys need some smartypants suggestions so Imma give you a couple of freebies

 

1) Buff up them Bloated Zamps and give them a bigger hitbox to encourage zombies to work together and attack in massive waves where the Bloats would tank hits for the little guys.

 

2) Add wicked weak but hard hitting zamps to go in with the tanky zamps to once again enourage wave attacks.

 

3) Buff headcrab damage, reduce their health, and increase the hitbox to a more reasonable size. This way the headcrab can actually have a chance of killing people that are in the cades, and some players need to take the role of actively killing headcrabs that have snuck in. Agile headcrabs would be rewarded by this change, while slowpokes will suffer.

 

4) Add a zamp class that can place a spawner. I've seen this on other servers with varying success. This would basically encourage humans to go outside their cade to destroy the spawner, lest they die to constantly spawning hoards located just around the corner from the cade. Obviously this class would not be allowed in the progression maps, which by the way I think are already great.

 

5) Get rid of the ridiculous Zombine, or at least nerf them. It's stupid to have a ridiculously strong AND tanky class

 

6) Reduce knockback on guns. It's stupid and the game shouldn't be 1000 grim reaper guns gut punching kitty zombies before they even get close to the human cade

 

7) Rework gun dmg and stuff to account for these changes. I don't really know how, lol, but these changes will probably affect survival rates of humans, and they might need guns that are more or less powerful than they currently are

 

8) Add really good rewards mid-round for the humans if they leave their cade. For example, a 500 point box that spawns in the middle of the map, allowing for a high-risk high-reward scenario where a group of brave humans may leave the cade with a hunger for gold. Depending on the party size and their guns, it could be a suicide mission or a great success. Zombies and humans alike would look out for these events, and it would add some diversity to an otherwise somewhat slow but overall enjoyable gamemode

 

I don't really know what these changes would do to the meta, but as it stands it sucks to be a zombie until around wave 5 or 6, and it's only fun then because of stupid broken zombine. Make zombie class fun in the early waves and less people will afk as them.

 

Pick and choose what you like in this list, and add to the game accordingly.

sounds like a good idea but 500 pts is too much.
9) Damage based redemption rather than kill based.
