Part-GTY-156051310-1-1-0.jpgPhiladelphia Eagles rookie Myke Tavarres pledged Monday to emulate Colin Kaepernick by refusing to stand for the US national anthem, only to backtrack on the issue hours later. Tavarres, 23, said he planned to sit during the anthem when the Eagles hosted the New York Jets in Philadelphia on Thursday. "He plans on standing for the national anthem," Williams said in a statement.
