I want to hear all the pros and possible cons about Windows 7 from the guys who already have it.

This could help anyone deciding to make the switch from XP or Vista "Lord have mercy on your soul".

I have already heard alot of good things about Windows 7 and I'm not expecting any bad reviews.

When I got my new computer about a month or two ago. I was given the coupon for Windows 7. I run Vista 64-bit right now and I am still hesitant on upgrading. I heard they took out quick launch and what not. I'll wait till it's been released for a while before I choose to upgrade.

I'm not pirating anything. I can get the upgrade from vista bus to win 7 professional for $30 at my univ book store. Go for it or not worth it?

Yes worth it, windows 7 is what vista shoulda been.

Think of vista as MILLENNIUM edition, basically shit that Microsoft put down your throat until the real OS came out (2000/xp)

Quicklaunch was replaced with the ability to pin items to the top of the start menu, as well as (and I love it) the ability to pin items to the taskbar. For instance, I Have Chrome, explorer, Zune and Tweetdeck pinned on my netbook, since they are pretty much always open.

I pretty much love 7, and am running it as my primary OS on my netbook, desktop and work computer.

Just got home from buying and finished installing, and i gotta say, i'm lovin it. Super fast on everything i do, and just seems like vista - vista + xp = awesome

It tries to keep itself that way, too. They schedule in basic maintenance, like defrag (about time Microsoft admitted that you DO HAVE TO REGULARLY DEFRAG NTFS, as well as defender scans, etc. So you pretty much run CCleaner, and Spybot (if you're paranoid) and you're clean again.

My first love is still Linux, but 7 has great practical application as well.
