Champ Kind Posted October 26, 2016 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said Wednesday he will use three starting pitchers on short rest against the Chicago Cubs in the World Series in quest of the team's first title since 1948. Indians right-hander Corey Kluber, who struck out nine and scattered four hits in six scoreless innings for a 6-0 victory to open the best-of-seven showdown, would pitch game four Saturday in Chicago and game seven if necessary next Wednesday. Right-handers Trevor Bauer, who cut his right little finger working on a drone and left in the first inning in an American League finals game at Toronto, and Friday game three starter Josh Tomlin will also have to pitch later on short rest as well.
