Champ Kind Posted November 7, 2016 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Bud Black, who guided the San Diego Padres for more than eight Major League Baseball seasons before being fired last year, was named Monday as the new manager of the Colorado Rockies. Black, 59, went 649-713 with the Padres, a National League West division rival of the Rockies, from 2007 until being axed 65 games into the 2015 campaign.
