Question About Promoting

So, apparently there is a player whose name is Fire. This has caused a great deal of confusion when the player is on the server because T's will say things like "FIRE is the best lead" and then when someone tells them to stop promoting, people will say "Oh i'm only talking about the player FIRE."

 

This problem gets worse, as this morning some T's kept saying "FIRE is the best lead" even when the player FIRE wasn't even on the server. To me, this is just an obnoxious way of trying to get around the promoting rule. What course of action is best to take with people who are trying to promote while saying they're only talking about the player Fire?

fire is a member of hg so yes this is allowed if they spam it u can still gag them but if they just say it once its ok

There's a line when you can tell if they are promoting and actually talking about her so if you have a question or aren't sure if they are you can pm me or any mod/staff and I'm sure they will help you out.

When all else fails, use common sense. If they are implying it and you gag, and they threaten to take you to the forums, well then we can see how council thinks of their foolishness

My name has been Fire<3 for a very long time, it never causes problems on jailbreak except the time you are talking about. And the people who saying these things are 12 or younger. The people are just trolling and not actually promoting, yes I a can understand how it might cause conflict but unless someone says "Fire them" or "type !fire in chat" then they are just trolling. My name does not cause conflict only a troll.

I've noticed a difference between when someone says Fire's name and saying fire in chat. I would just try to include a message if you are trying to talk to fire like "Hey fire" to show that you aren't trying to promote.
