RetiredTacos
Is valve for real? It's the EXACT same game, characters switched up a tad and more weapons added. Why the fuck did they not just patch left 4 dead. All they needed to do was add fucking weapons. Makes no sense, I'm not paying 50 bucks for this shit, fuck L4D2. /rant :doof::oo::hi: :homer::kill:
Weeman
Yea valve fucked a lot of people over, most gamers know this so called "left for dead 2" was originally supposed to be a DLC that was going to cost around 10-15 dollars. instead they decide to make it stand alone, charge full price, and release one campaign for the original as a "sorry were raping your wallet"

They know plenty of people are going to buy it. I saw screens and I thought it looked like the exact same game, but with new characters, as Terry said. I got bored of L4D anyways, I only liked playing as infected. I didn't plan on buying the new one, and now I know I won't.

I didn't plan on buying the new one, and now I know I won't. I didn't plan on buying it either...but the wife wanted it for her birthday. So I bought a 4 pack to cover 4 of the 6 accounts I have. We played the demo, and for some strange reason I liked it (I too had gotten quite tired of L4D). There were a lot of great additions, like new special infected and the like. Yes, this should have been some sort of expansion pack...if it was going to be a new game, there should have been 5 characters and made it L5D, given that there are now two additional new special infected. G.K.M.Y
I have yet to play the demo, but from what my sister has been saying, she doesn't like it. She likes the original more. Told me about how there are "Revival Packs" and "Injections" and what not. The "new Hunter" supposedly grabs onto you and slowly pulls you away from your teammates or something? Idk. G.K.M.Y
Well, I suppose L4D2 gives the options to the people who never had L4D to begin with, another option.
D3nL
It's a shame it's $50. The zombies are actually strong in this one and the addition of the new running event instead of just sitting still and meleeing really mixed it up. Would easily pay 20-30 for this as a DLC. CubanCarlos
i completely agree with Terry and everyone else who agreed with Terry... valve better not expect to sell lots of copies of L4D2 like that
3D
Valve did say, l4d any l4d2 is supposed to be the same, But diffrent but not to diffrent if you get what i meen, They've talked about them being combined together in a way, but they said that's for later stages. RetiredTacos
Its funny because they tried to push a TF2 hat by pre-ordering Left 4 Dead. They are desperate for it, phaggots.
G.K.M.Y
Just played the demo. The new Special Infecteds are fairly weak. In the sense of their design, not their HP.
bort
well i for one played the demo and i really liked it. ..... plus i already bought 8 copies of it so it better be good .......

Well on the positive note, I did like the new common infected models. I also liked the concept where people couldn't just hide in a corner to kill off the hordes, and there seems to be "target assignments" (ie when you had to turn off the alarm while being chased by hordes), which I think was one of the things they were targeting for L4D2. Lt. Awesome
yea, i like the new infected...and weapons but all in all, it's reall fa****ry. And i agree, they should've just put it as DLC, they would probably get more people buying it.

GIR--_
Yay, I've never even played L4D or actually seen ANY gameplay footage, I've just seen the hand that shows up on Steam, pro? Buddy, I had L4D pre-purchased, probably before you even heard about the game. I'm probably better at the game than you are and I play it an hour a month because the game is total crap IMO. The game is you shoot zombies and die (pretty much like all FPS games) and there's a restricted number of people to play with????!!! It's like every other zombie game - it's exciting the first 2 hours you play it. Then it gets repetitive as fuck. Like Vandium, I only play versus most of the time because you're playing against random people and different people do different stuff. As for computers, they can only do so much. They should have patched L4D instead of creating a whole new game just for a few changes. Yes, everyone's gonna be on L4D2 Demo's during this time 'cause it's free, but not alot of people are gonna buy it for $50 'cause its the same game with the same concep - a bunch of zombies run at you and you kill them - and nearly the same graphics. Who wants to spend more money on something they ALREADY have? (except for Bort, he bought 8 copies wtf!) And Ninja Kitkat, don't ever talk or refer to me again. D3nL
And Ninja Kitkat, don't ever talk or refer to me again. First off, rofl. The only thing that kept L4D fresh for me was the fact that I had two buddies who I would speedrun/grief with. Even that got boring eventually. Otherwise it gets boring quick.
