Server Config text file

Well, I was working on a prject and I went to word, and noticed this in my start bar(copy and paste)

maxplayers = 16

title is server .config.txt . I showed it to soccer (him being good at server stuff) and he said he never saw anything like this. I havn't deleted it, not knowing what it does, so, any help is appriecieted.
