DANY YAMZ
Here you go: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16336268 Took me a while to put that wish list together. After shipping, it is a bit under $2000. This is by far the best you can get for that price range.

For gaming you dont want a larger hard drive (unless it spins ALOT faster). i just woke up but i believe there are raptor hard drives which are 500gigs but spin ridiculously fast resulting in almost immediate data reading. RetiredTacos
Two directions you could go Koth. If you want top of the line and you WILL overclock, I'd go Intel i7. For videocards, the ATI 5870 is the best for the $, but its OOS, if you can't wait, go with a GTX 285. I personally would advise you to use your 8800's until you can get an ATI 5870, but its up to you of course. I would not go with a GTX 295, it has some tearing issues that most people don't know about and performance is not that great for the $ GTX 285 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130480XFX ATI 5870 (out of stock) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150443 AMD/ATI From a gaming perspective, AMD Phenom II is your best bet, especially if you are NOT overclocking. If you go AMD, do NOT go DDR3, it is a waste of $, there is zero performance benefit. Use the DDR2 that you currently have with the motherboard i picked out, it will work perfect. Gigabyte UD4P - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128387AMD PH II 965 3.4GHZ - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727 OCZ Freeze - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835202006 Noctua CPU Cooler - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608014 Corsair 850HX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139011 Asus Xonar D2X - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132005 Intel/Nvidia If you want top of the line with no expense spared, i7 of course. i7 on 1156 platform is stupid, that socket will not last long, so go with 1366 motherboards like I've listed below. Stick with 6 gigs for now, you will not use more than that, trust me. Also with X58/1366 socket you can run dual/triple nvidia OR ati cards with no issues. For the CPU, i7 920. All i7 CPU's are created equal, some overclock better than others, the difference on the higher GHZ cpu's is the multiplier, they will all reach around the same overclock on AIR cooling. The 920 has proven time and again it will hit 4ghz, I wouldn't waste $ on a 950 UNLESS you aren't overclocking. RetiredTacos
Terry didn't you tell me to go here? or was it someone rlse. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ Not me...that site is not bad though if you aren't comfortable putting it together yourself. Lots of selection and I haven't heard anything bad about them. any idea for the case? terry I usually don't pick a case for someone, it's more a personal decision. A few come to mind, I'm attracted to the more expensive cases as quality is pretty important to me. I don't know if you like the flashy lights and big fan looks or a more clean look. Nothing wrong with either way. Thats my 2cents. Here's a few to look into though. Cheaper, good quality. These work fine, descent amount of room but not great. Antec 900 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021 Thermaltake V9 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133074 CM HAF (more room than the above) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197 Top quality cases, expensive, better taste IMO. Any Lian Li or Silverstone case will be top quality and usually have a very clean look, here's a few to look into. Antec P183 (kind of cramped) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129061 Lian Li PC K62 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112239 Lian Li PC B25 (personal favorite under 200$- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112148 Lian Li PC A71 (baller status case, excellent cooling and looks amazing)- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112144 Silverstone TJ09 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163073 Silverstone FT01 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163121

Then again if you aren't, you should be getting AMD If you plan on keeping that comp for a while then don't get AMD. They tend to crash. Also Nvidia is probably much better than ATI. I used to have a ATI and it failed. Right now I have a Nvidia 9800 GT and it's great. AMD/ATI=Cheaper. Intel/Nvidia = Cheaper in the long run. But I agree with Terry there is no need for 8 gigs. I have 4 gigs and when the time comes I will upgrade but currently even the best games require only 2.5 gigs and that's if you have Vista.
