What do you know about either car? Do you know how to work on them? What motor the impala have, should have an LT1? 3000gt's are pieces of shit...will probably cost more to fix problems than the car is worth, most are ragged the fuck out.

I was leaning towards the Impala (cause im mexican) ... I got a cousin who has 2 of the same impalas and he knows them inside out ... On the other hand the 3000 gt I am looking at is going for 14K only 40,000 miles very good condition... the Impala is also in good condition only 29,000 miles and its all stock no after market stuff on it and that one is going for 18k... Personally I don't know much about either car but I have been looking in to both of them... And yes the Home Depot around me is always packed with my people (and my some are my uncles) :)

Lol ... Both cars are clean that's why they cost so much .... The guy that is selling the impala says he will give it to me for 14500 if I pay him all in cash and the 3000 gt is from a dealer and I'm sure I can talk down the price on that one ... zip 94061

"I am thinking about the impala because I am mexican." ROFL

You can't just base your judgments on the way it looks on the outside.

lol

Need to see which one has more value and longevity.

I like the impala myself. 96's are pwn.

Yeah so far I am leaning towards the Impala since it is so hard to find one with low mileage and in good condition

These two cars aren't my strong suit, but my roomie has an Impala and though it has a fairly banging 8 cylinder engine which is a lot of get-up for that heavy of a car, he had a big (expensive) problem with his Opti-spark system. It floods here sometimes and the Opti-spark is pretty much right below the engine. It flooded and landed him with several hundred in repairs and a car that wouldn't start in the mean time.

Might be a thought if you get a lot of rain. *shrug*

Wingless is right the optispark is the lt1 Achilles hill. They changed from a nonvented to a vented opti in 95 to help avoid this problem...bit if u are driving through flooding streets u can still kill it lol.

I figured as much. The trick is that our floods aren't "floods" and often, you don't have a choice if you want to leave the house.

Point being, I can ford common weather here by staying in second and keeping water off of my engine and out of my exhaust pipe. He can't. :P
