Windows 7...interesting

So my laptop recently crashed because of corrupted bootup files. I was still under warranty from Best Buy and Geek Squad, and since it was conveninently close to me, I went in for a free diagnostic. They found "17" viruses and said I needed to reformat my harddrive and reinstall OS again.

I was on vista home premium at that time and I said I'm not paying 130 bucks to do something I can do myself. So I think I did it right, backed up important files and stuff but anyone else know any cool tricks or stuff with windows 7? I'm so lost with some of the stuff. WHat is specifically new about it/what makes it better, other than overall layout and stability i guess.

GRACIAS <3.

Faster, more organized, but it doesn't support my drivers :(

all-in-all it's pretty awesome

If vista has your drivers supported then windows 7 does too >.>

Windows 7 is a lot better at indexing your drives, it does it much more efficiently, at least it seems that way to me.

Win7 is a HUGE improvement compared to Vista. It's not as fast as XP, but it's visuals are supreme.

My favorite feature is the new ways of handeling windows: you can drag the title bar to the sides of the screen to resize it to fit half of the screen, or top to maximize. In addition you can shake a window to minimize all windows except the shaken.

Although Win7 is way better than Vista I still prefer Linux (mainly Ubuntu) over Win..

I WILL NEVER PAY FOR A Microsoft PRODUCT (I use RC1)!
