Lucas15 Posted June 8, 2021 Share Posted June 8, 2021 So I hopped in right when season 7 went live last night and here are my first impressions. I like the alien invasion theme. I can definitely see it leading to some Independence Day style event around July 4th. The map changes, like all this chapter, are pretty subtle. I wish there'd be more to shake things up, but based on the description of the season I expect to see some as the season progresses. I'm not a fan of the new pulse rifle. I think it needs a small damage buff. The rail gun can shoot through walls and decimate anything/anyone in its path. Seems very overpowered. I'm glad snipers are back though! Now I can 360 YY ladder stall nerds again. The UFOs... they're already annoying. They're hard to destroy when players are in them. At any given time, even in the middle of a fight, you can be sucked up by either a player- or AI-controlled UFO and get screwed. But if you're in the driver seat, they're not so bad. There's also battle pass changes and some other things but nobody is gonna read any of this anyway so that's all I'll cover Overall, I'm at a 6.5/10 with the season from the little bit I've already experienced.
