It did drag on way too long..lol
ttaM
I was trying to find out where I heard the black guy in Mass Effect's voice before, I looked it up and it's Keith David that voices the character, I lol'd.

I thought I recognized that voice in that game. As for Rowdy Roddy Piper, these guys don't know nothing about that. WWE is a fail.

Wingless
i didnt think it was that good I lol'd. The trick with 3d is that you have to focus on what is "in focus". If you start looking at the background (which is kind of a shame here since it was so pretty) you end up with a splitting headache by the end of the movie. Of course, it also helps to watch it in a theater with proper projection equipment.
John
I enjoyed it, it was an amazing looking movie, but... I personally think the plot fucking sucked, I agree with the fern gully and pocahontas statement. It was way to fucking predictable and the girl from Fast and the Furious, (also in Resident Evil) died, same as every other movie she's been in. CubanCarlos
Just saw it today, and theres only one word that strikes my mind when i finished. WOW just a few semi- Rhetorical questions for the people who did get the chance to see it. 1. Who did you (what side did you) feel bad for, Humans, for the Avatars? This was one of the most political movies i have ever seen. It truly capture the American's thought process and how they can just go into any situation and think they can win it. Not only that, what was the reason for the war in the first place? a rare substance named unabtanium or something like that. The truth is, the humans went in the war for money. Lets take the war in Iraq for example. ( Now i just want to say this, before i start any controversy. I have nothing against the war in Iraq, or what they're trying to do, but i do think people deserve the right to know what is really going on out there.) It has been proven to this day, that we are still in Iraq, losing brave American lives, for money. More importantly, Oil. Taliban? we went to war for the most BS reasons, and this clearly shows what happens when someone goes into someone else's land with a "i got power and can get whatever i want attitude." Controversial, i know, but im not the one making this up, i think the movie had a purpose, and it was to show people what really is going on out there. 2. Wasnt this Movie supposed to be about Avatar: the last airbender? While i enjoyed all the technology in the movie, and most importantly the Avatar-gene--transporter-thingy -mah-jig, I was really hoping for a movie with the last airbender. does anyone know if they are still making this, and this movie just took it's name, or what? I am not against America, nor am i Against the Armed Forces, on the contrary, i honor what they do each and every day, and their bravery for our country is not thrown away but this movie has just made me think, and i certainly hope you all did aswell. Probably the biggest fail on these forums. Avatar and Avatar: The Last Airbender are different movies, the latter directed by M. Night Shyamalan. As for this movie, I saw it in IMAX 3D and was blown away. You don't have to be blown away by both plot and effects. The effects was enough - sure, the plot dragged it down a bit, but it kept the storyline moving forward, however corny it was. James Cameron waited 15 or so years for this. Sure, I'm a little disappointed he didn't spend a bit more time thinking of a great script, but hell this movie is made to be groundbreaking in filming. It did just that. I'd give it an 8/10 but that's just me. I came into this movie looking to be entertained and visually blown away. My eyes still hurt from it. It did just that good visually. On another note, I found out that if you tilted your head sideways, the 3D would go out of focus. TRIPPY.
Rize
I also saw it in 3D. I liked it overall, but I thought the plot was way too predictable.
Cefdinir
I think i will wait and not spend the $9 to go see it. I know visually i will like it but if the plot isn't up to par i know i would fall asleep.

Sorry for being wrong and asking a question about it? theres no need for any Hostility or humility about it... Wingless
I stopped reading as soon as I saw "Iraq", but some similarities exist. You can't feel much sympathy for the military characters since there aren't any actual moral or political justifications for wiping an entire civilization for the sake of money. Street - Wouldn't you say that the movie would have been better had you been able to keep the awesome effects and have a plot that wasn't shit to go with it? Good is greater than worse, but still not excellent.

orangeCRUSH
In case anyone wonders why we can't have debates on these ONLINE FORUMS about anything, it's because of people like Wingless calling 22 year old men "6 year olds". Wingless, you're a fucking idiot, no matter how much you think you're not. Try living a life instead of spending your time online trying to convince people how fucking smart you are. When's the last time you had pussy anyway? I thought AVATAR was awesome, it was corny, had an overplayed story, but visually it was something nobody's ever seen before. I just hope they leave it at this one, because a sequel, or trilogy would ruin the whole experience. PS- TERRY, Boondock Saints was a shit movie, it was trying so hard to be Pulp Fiction it was embarassing.
