Official Jailbreak Questions Vol. 1

Well we all know Jailbreak is "serious" business. Many admins enforce different rules and I just think we needed a thread that people can post in to clarify rules.

Let me start off with my question.

I always hear people say "no dry knifing." I feel that they cannot give orders to you that does not allow you to rebel. This rules totally goes against the rule where you can knife ahead of time and if a CT is in your way you're not considered a rebel.

The person who is doing this is a recruit (and many other people). She/He states that she/he saw other admins do it.

Well as an admin I state I am an admin too, and until someone says that rule is allowed...i refuse to say its allowed.

Can anyone put some truth into this?

go type motd. on the left side go to the bottom of the LEFT side rules. count up top its the 12th rule. (if its not 12th it is the 11th. did not want to recount)

"If a CT is running in the path of a T in transit, the T may not knife them or else they will be considered a rebel unless the T was knifing before the CT was near. In that case, the CT is at fault for running through their knife purposely." (yes i typed it out for you)

Edit: with pic..

"Dry knifing"?

Who comes up with this shit? Does it chafe more than dry humping?

Not being a JB player, logic dictates that an order cannot supersede the MOTD. *shrug*

exactly. So for now im going to take that as the order isnt allowed. :pwned:

Can we make a rules video? We can show what isn't allowed and redirect bad players to it =P

Rules video, great idea, can i be in it by any chance? :)

Also, you are correct Sketchy, in the motd it says, if a CT walks infront of a T whilst he is in the middle of knifing the air, the T is not considered a rebel. Ex. T continues knifing whilst crouching over to big cage or some other place, the CT gets infront of him while the T is still knifing, then it is not considered rebelling and the CT is at fault. thats why Red does NOT equal dead. not all the time, anyways

I will warn CT's to not bait because: Its basically a form of gunplanting. Usually the CT is jut looking to get knifed so he/she can give the T their guns to rebel with. As someone that give orders a lot i find this annoying cuz ppl aim at you first.

If you want to throw your guns a safe distance away and THEN bait i say go for it.

Otherwise admins decisions are and will be respected on this one until motd is modified i suppose.

Thank you come again

isn't it a motd rule?

No kids with high pitched voices on the mic?

It's an M rated game, and I'm fine with kids playing it, but seriously, get those puberty balls before playing

As patrick said, if you have a mic, then you can speak, as long as your not screaming down the mic, and were is the rule in the motd, i highly doubt there is a rule, slaz has the same point of view i do on the matter, but i could be wrong.

I take No balls no mic comments very seriousley and if they keep on doing it, i usually ban them. There is no rule in the motd that says you need to be a certain age to play or talk. As for lead CT, only rule it says on there, is you have to give clear, concise orders, and if they're doing that, i don't see the problem.

You spam the forums and you make up things on the motd.

www.motd.bortweb.com/jb

I silence anyone who starts to spam that for a few rounds.

If they continue, temp ban. There's no need for it. As long as their mic is clear and they are speaking with proper enunciation, there is no reason why we should put up with people being disrespectful to younger players.

As far as admins that are doing it, let me know if it happens. I think speaking to them directly should fix it. If not, we can get a staff member involved to give them a stern warning and call it done.

You're right when you say admins represent the community. We want our admins to represent everyone in the community and set a good example.

Thanks for bringing this up, Cuban.
