ttaM
Sorry gamers, sports fans only. 1. 2008 - Mario Chalmers and Kansas win the National Championship in overtime vs. Memphis This is my indisputable #1 moment. It ranks very high up there as the greatest game I've ever seen. Kansas was my pick on every bracket I had to win it all, Memphis was a team I absolutely hated. 2. 2007 - Barry Bonds' 756th Home Run Say what you will about this but he has the record. I didn't see this personally, I watched the gamecast from a computer screen, but still this is something that doesn't happen too often. 3. 2000-2002 - Los Angeles Lakers 3-peat of NBA Titles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhlTQ8CtE4k Fuck you Kings fans, I don't like the Lakers either, I know how it went down but again, I don't care. This is another rare moment in sports that when it does happen you have to recognize it. 4. 2006 - Rose Bowl: USC vs. Texas Another moment I didn't see but I listened to on the radio. This may be a little high but seeing as USC is my most hated football team ever, I could care less. An amazing game and an amazing moment for college football. 5. 2004 - Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees (Entire Series) Just because of the history this makes the list, a great comeback story. 6. 2005 - Champions League Final Liverpool vs. AC Milan, 3-0 at halftime? No problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dbGNgeMLH4 The greatest comeback in sports history. Watch the video. 7. 2008 - Michael Phelps' Gold Medals No video. Just for what he did he gets on here, he's pretty good I guess. 8. 1999-2005 - Lance Armstrong and the Tour De France No video. This dude's fucking nuts. ---------------------------------------------Ran out of stuff I THINK is worthy. Disregard the rest of this. 9. 2009 - Tim Tebow of Florida crying on National TV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIpIxXPkyDA LOL. 10. 2009 - Tyler Hansbrough graduates from UNC LOLPZ. Psycho T who? Magic of Macys
uhhh 1. Syracuse Orange vs. Cornell Big Red NCAA Championship Game 2009 (Lacrosse)...... Kenny Nims, a senior, turns over the ball with like 30 seconds to go in the 4th quarter game is 9-8 syracuse down by 1..... Nims then causes a turn over and the a ground ball occurs.. Steven Keogh then throws a behind the back pass to another teamate matt abbott who then does another behind the back pass to kenny nims then a cornell players tips it but nims still catches it and makes a goal sending the championship to over time which syracuse later won giving them 11 national championships and this is the second year in a row they won

Headshot
The Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins will make National Hockey League history on New Year’s Day, 2008, when they play in the AMP NHL Winter Classic, the League’s first regular-season outdoor game in the United States. The game features several of the game’s greatest young stars, including Penguins center Sidney Crosby and Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, and will be played at Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=437608

ttaM
cant forget about App. upsetting Michigan in 07. That was a very important upset but taking into account the rest of the season and the following season, even after firing Lloyd Carr, it was just another crazy day in college football. Also 2007 was the year where #2 teams lost almost every single week(Michigan was ranked 2nd during the Pre-season Poll when App State beat them. Looking at their season as a whole right now it's not that great, they got crushed by Oregon(who I think still had Dennis Dixon before he messed up his knee) and then crushed Notre Dame, and we all know how Notre Dame is these days. It was significant in the sense that it began the season of upsets in 2007 but as far as a top 10 for the decade my opinion is meh.
