snowsoftJ4C
In no particular order: 1. Shadow of the Colossus The landscape is staggering, desolate and beautifully drawn; the story was heartbreaking and well told. It comprised of only 16 boss battles, nothing else in between? Boring you say? Well, these are the bosses you had to face. And the final boss is encased in a building which takes literally 15-20 minutes just to ascend. 2. Modern Warfare 2 This replaced Timesplitters:FP as my favorite multiplayer shooter. The amount of customization and replayability is ridiculous, splitscreen is a blast, and the story mode is just as good. 3. Left 4 Dead 2 Killing zombies has never been more fun. They nailed the feel of a zombie apocalypse, and the sheer ridiculous level of gore and mayhem is awesome. Splitscreen is a blast, and the tension and fast-paced action is awesome. 4. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing This game has the dubious honor of being the only game to actually make me laugh at loud for more than a couple minutes straight. Widely regarded as the worst game of all time, it is a semi-truck racing game that lets you run straight through buildings and bridges , accelerate infinitely in reverse, fly off the edge of the map and keep going , and drive straight up cliffs . Oh, and you win every single time. There's a glitch that displays the winning screen 5 seconds after you start, or more simply you can't lose because your opponent doesn't move. At all. It stays at the starting line. Win. 5. I actually don't have one. There are too many that could fill up this slot, from Tekken 3 to Silent Hill 2.... Post yours here! I Love Lamp
1. Chrono Trigger (I'll include Chrono Cross here too): Had awesome amounts of replayability, not to mention tons of easter eggs. Two of my favorite RPGs. 2. Disgaea: Amazing strategy game. I have hundreds of hours logged in that game, and I still haven't beaten it. (Also included: Phantom Brave, La Pucelle Tactics) 3. Guilty Gear XX: The last of the good 2D fighting games. Look for videos of this game on YouTube and you'll see why. 4. Final Fantasy Tactics: Another turn-based strategy game. Actually, the first one I had ever played. And I played it. A LOT(also included: FF Tactics Advanced). 5. Tecmo Super Bowl: This is the first game I ever played, for the NES. I remember it being so amazingly fun, though there was always this one run pass that outwitted the computer every time, and after that it got pretty easy. Other notables: Mass Effect: Just finished it the other day, and it has me pumped to play the second one. Tactics Ogre and Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis: Also super fun strategy games! Brave Fencer Musashi/Samurai Legend Musashi: Really fun (but also really hard) hack n slash game. Chaos Legion: Great game for the PS2, though the last boss was a bit of a let down. Capcom vs SNK/ Capcom vs Marvel/Fatal Fury:Mark of the Wolves/ King of Fighters: Awesome fighting games. I need to hook up my Dreamcast again so I can play them. Grandia/Grandia 2: Fun games that had a unique magic system that was pretty fun I could probably go on forever, but I suppose I'll stop here. Starcraft the summer of 7th grade and the summer of 8th grade I was up at 8am and played Starcraft until about 6 or 7PM nearly every day. Ahh the good old days. Wingless
In no particular order: 1 - Metal Gear Solid (and to a lesser extent, the rest of the series) Epically and completely unrealistically excellent 2 - GTA3 - Satisfy my inner sociopath 3 - Saints Row (and the sequel) - Sandbox game that doesn't take itself seriously. The sequel was probably better than GTA4 in many ways 4 - Soldier of Fortune - Completely over the top twitch shooter. Most fun I've ever had on the hardest difficulty in a game 5 - Duke Nukem 3d - Almost perfect. Also, goddamn you George Broussard 6 - The Gauntlet series - Party favorite among nerds 7 - Castlevania SOTN - Yes, I re-purchased it on XBLA just so I didn't have to find a replacement console. Doovad
Lol Gunbound. I went the guy with the laser thing floating above him. Fun fun. 1. Tales of Symphonia: Best RPG Adventure game I've ever played. Revolutionary combat system and coop supported, roughly 50 hours of gameplay with an attempt at replayability. 2. Halo 2: 5800 games played. My 7th 8th grade days. 3. Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1): Simply amazing. The followups never had the same feel for me. 4. World of Warcraft: They did a lot of things right. Played in the Burning Crusade and quit when WotlK came out. 5. Pokemon Red/Blue: You can't deny it. 6. DotA for Warcraft III: I still play it so it shouldn't really be included but its fun. Other recent ones are MW2, Halo 3, Borderlands. E: I FORGOT LEGEND OF DRAGOON. FAIL. Edited January 19, 2010 by Doovad
