My internet keeps messing up. It will be fine when I'm not in-game but when I'm playing Counter-Strike: Source my game will lag really badly and then crash. I don't know what to do but I have the brand of internet "NETGEAR" and its wireless. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I've had wireless for about a month.

Configure it manually. If your using DSL, then you are most likely using PPPoE to logon to your DSL. right ?

In basic setup menu, use "other" then use your dsl user name, password and set the DHCP IP to auto, then your set.

Ethernet. It's a miracle. Plug an ethernet cord in direct to the back of the router. I had a Netgear wireless router and had much better performance hardwired to it. Even if it's just for a few minutes, see if that improves your performance.

I got a few things that may work:

 

1. Reset all your net hardware

2. If number 1 don't work try goin directly from your modem too your computer.

3. Still don't work? Try contacting your Ethernet deveplover.

 

 

If 2 works, try borrow an friends modem and router or use an old one, also check your cable

that that goes from your telephone output too your router input.
