A Steam client update is now available. To apply the update, click the File menu inside of Steam and then select "Check for Steam Client Updates...". The specific changes include:

 

Steam Client

 

  • Added DirectX 11 and DirectX 10.1 support from the in-game overlay
  • Fixed error 83 when launching certain games
  • Fixed a crash in listen servers for games based on the Counter Strike: Source engine
  • Fixed case where the in-game overlay could crash if you got a download complete notification and the app icon wasn't cached
  • Fixed Steam aborting on some malformed paths instead of just failing to read the file in questionFixed in-game overlay input for games using raw input sometimes losing input registration
